Darbek had already carved a niche in Dubai’s elite nightlife scene, hosting high-end events at iconic venues such as SLS Hotel, Vii Lounge, and W Hotel. What truly set the brand apart, however, were its unforgettable experiences on yachts and private boats—intimate yet vibrant gatherings that captured the essence of Dubai’s luxury lifestyle. Despite these exceptional in-person events, Darbek lacked a strong digital presence that reflected the energy, exclusivity, and sophistication of its brand. The online visibility was low, social engagement was inconsistent, and there was no cohesive content strategy in place. Without well-documented event moments or a central storytelling approach, it was difficult to translate the real-world buzz into measurable digital results. More importantly, while Darbek generated social media hype, it wasn’t consistently converting that attention into ticket sales, influencer partnerships, or high-value collaborations.
Goal
The primary goal was to transform Darbek from an exciting events brand into a fully immersive lifestyle brand with a commanding digital presence. This meant not only showcasing the prestige of its rooftop and lounge events, but especially highlighting its signature yacht and boat parties—where the exclusivity and high production value reached new heights. We aimed to elevate the brand across all digital touchpoints, increase engagement and reach, boost pre-event ticket sales, and ultimately establish Darbek as one of the most desirable nightlife experiences in the UAE, both online and offline.
Solution
To bring Darbek’s brand to life online, we developed a comprehensive creative and performance-driven strategy. First, we focused on storytelling, capturing the atmosphere of each event—whether on a yacht at sunset or beneath the city skyline in a rooftop venue—through cinematic videos, drone visuals, and curated photography. Every visual was crafted to reflect not just the party itself, but the lifestyle behind it. Our social media campaigns were designed to create anticipation and FOMO, using short-form video content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. These featured everything from teaser trailers and behind-the-scenes clips to influencer-generated content and crowd reactions. We also activated strategic partnerships with lifestyle influencers, celebrity DJs, and hospitality brands, ensuring that Darbek’s digital reach extended far beyond its own channels. For the events at sea, we capitalized on the unique setting by emphasizing luxury moments like champagne on deck, curated music under the stars, and Dubai’s skyline as a backdrop—creating content that resonated deeply with aspirational audiences. To further amplify results, we ran geo-targeted and retargeted ad campaigns focused on driving both awareness and ticket conversions, especially during weekends and peak seasons.
Result
The transformation was swift and measurable. Within just three months, Darbek saw a 275% increase in engagement across Instagram and TikTok. Ticket pre-sales rose by over 120%, with yacht and boat events consistently outperforming expectations. The brand was featured in over thirty media outlets and lifestyle platforms, driven in part by collaborations with high-profile DJs and local influencers. Most importantly, Darbek achieved full attendance across multiple event cycles, with over 65% of guests returning for future experiences—especially those tied to its signature yacht gatherings.
